The structure of an R-type transformer:
R-type transformers are developed on the basis of combining the advantages of C-shaped and toroidal transformers. Like traditional transformers, R-type transformers are also composed of three parts: iron core, coil, and structural parts.
The core part of the R-type transformer, the R-type iron core, is wound from a high-quality cold-rolled oriented silicon steel strip cut into different widths by a cutting machine, annealed after heat treatment, impregnated with insulating varnish, and formed at one time. The iron core is not cut, and the cross-section is approximately circular.
Characteristics of R-type transformer:
1. The R-type transformer is small in size and light in weight. The R-type transformer is wound with a non-cut iron core and uses high-grade silicon steel sheets with high orientation, so it is small in size and light in weight.
2. The R-type transformer has high efficiency. Since the iron core is not cut, the iron loss is very small, and the distance between the iron core and the winding is minimized by using high-quality materials and a compact structure, so the efficiency can reach more than 90%.
3. The magnetic flux leakage of the R-type transformer is small. The iron core of the R-type transformer has no magnetic gap and the winding is balanced, so the magnetic flux leakage is small.
4. The R-type transformer has no noise and little heat generation. Since the R-type transformer is wound with a non-cut iron core, it is made of a high-grade silicon steel sheet with high orientation, has a uniform circular cross-section and continuous winding, and has low resistance loss and heat generation. And since there is no cutting, the magnetostrictive stress is easily absorbed, thus ensuring a noiseless application.
5. The excitation current of the R-type transformer is small. The design of the R-type transformer is reasonable, so it has the characteristics of low iron loss, less heat generation, small excitation current, and low energy consumption.
6. R-type transformers have a high safety factor. Due to its unique design, the primary and secondary frames are separated, and the insulation performance is excellent. The separated frames made of flame-retardant materials can meet the standards of any country.
